Rebind
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Rebind is a platformer where your moves are limited! Once you release a key on your keyboard, you can no longer use it! You play as a treasure hunter who has become weary from his travels, and you must use your limited energy reserves to find the treasure before you get stranded!
Utilise good timing and resource management skills to reach the treasure and become a famous treasure hunter!
This game was made in less than 2 days for the Game Makers Tool Kit 2020 Game Jam. The theme for this jam was 'Out of Control'.
Controls/Rules:
- Arrow keys to move
- Releasing a key causes you to lose access to it
- Picking up a Rebind orb restores a lost key
- R to reset
- Escape to Pause
- Reach the chest to win the level!

I really loved the concept, it forces you to really focus on every single movement. Unlike most other games Rebind took 'out of control's to another level.
The music, art style and game mechanics were also very enjoyable. This is one of the better games I've seen.
Great mechanic! I was really hard to learn not to release keys or to release proper one when needed.
p.s. this page BG is a bit owherwhelming, maybe just use same pastel colors as in game?
